In this episode, we chat with Katey Outka, host of the Fifty Percent podcast and associate director of The Drag Audio production studio, to learn how Katey grew her University’s podcast network from 1 to 8 shows, to a staff of 25 students, in just over 2 years.
Katey is the associate director of The Drag, an audio production house at the University of Texas at Austin, where she also teaches journalism and podcasting classes. She’s organizing a podcast conference in her Austin, PodATXFest, which takes place in Aug 16-19, 2023. She also has her own podcast, Fifty Percent, in which she and her best friend talk about romance novels.
